The deal, without the fog.
What you can expect from VetCheck, and what we ask of you in return. Written to be read — not skipped past.
i. The big picture
By installing or using VetCheck, you agree to these terms. They're a contract between you and VetCheck Labs ("we," "us"). If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Three things, up front:
- VetCheck is a triage tool, not a veterinarian. It estimates urgency from your description. Always consult a licensed vet for diagnosis and treatment.
- In a life-threatening situation, call your emergency vet first. VetCheck includes an emergency screen for this — don't waste seconds on an assessment.
- Your data is yours. Delete your account anytime; see the privacy policy.
01 What VetCheck is (and isn't)
VetCheck is a software application that asks you about your pet's symptoms, runs them through an AI model anchored on small-animal triage guidelines, and returns:
- An urgency read on a 1–10 scale, with a color code (green / yellow / orange / red).
- A written summary of what the model sees in your description.
- A list of red-flag symptoms to watch for.
- At-home care suggestions where appropriate.
- Possible (non-diagnostic) categories of cause.
- A one-page report you can share with your veterinarian.
VetCheck is not:
- A veterinary clinic, a veterinarian, or a veterinary telehealth service.
- A medical device under FDA, EMA, or equivalent regulatory definitions.
- A substitute for in-person veterinary care.
- A diagnostic tool. It does not name diseases; it ranks urgency.
- An emergency service. If your pet is in critical condition, call your vet or an emergency clinic immediately.
02 Your account
You can use VetCheck without an account (your data stays on your device). If you create one:
- You must be at least 13 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction — 16 in parts of the EU).
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
- You give us accurate information (email, pet profile). Inaccurate pet data leads to inaccurate urgency reads — please don't do that.
- One account per person. You may add multiple pets within an account.
03 Free & Premium
What's free
- Two AI assessments per calendar month.
- One pet profile.
- The full emergency guide (online and offline).

What Premium unlocks
- Unlimited AI assessments.
- Follow-up reminders and check-ins.
- The one-page PDF report.
- Up to five pet profiles per account.
- Pattern analysis across your pet's history.
- Priority email support.
Pricing, billing, refunds
Premium is offered as $4.99/month or $39.99/year, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan. Local pricing may vary by region. Subscriptions are billed by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google); we never see your payment details.
You can cancel any time from your store account; you'll keep Premium until the end of the paid period. Refunds are governed by Apple's and Google's policies — see the support page for direct links.
04 How you use VetCheck
Please don't:
- Use VetCheck for animals it isn't designed for (it covers cats and dogs only; other species may be supported in future versions).
- Use VetCheck as a substitute for emergency veterinary care.
- Resell access, scrape the AI responses, or build a competing product on top of VetCheck.
- Submit harmful, illegal, or abusive content through any free-text field.
- Attempt to break, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the app's security.
- Use VetCheck to provide veterinary advice to others — you can share a report with your own vet, but you can't operate a service on top of ours.
05 Your content
You retain ownership of everything you put into VetCheck — pet profiles, photos, notes, assessment answers. By using the app, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process this content only to provide the service to you. We do not claim any rights beyond that, we do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not share it publicly.
06 Our intellectual property
The VetCheck app, brand, mascot (Mochi), illustrations, copy, and AI prompt design are owned by VetCheck Labs. You get a personal, non-transferable license to use the app while these terms are in force — that's it. Don't copy the app, fork the UI, or reuse our written content elsewhere.
07 Disclaimers (the important one)
VetCheck does not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The AI's urgency read is an informational estimate based on the symptoms you describe. It can be wrong. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for any medical decision about your pet, and in an emergency, contact your emergency vet immediately.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind (express or implied), to the maximum extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the AI's read will always be accurate, that the app will be uninterrupted, or that all errors will be corrected.
If your jurisdiction does not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, those exclusions may not apply to you — and you may have additional consumer rights we don't override.
08 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VetCheck Labs is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
09 Termination
You can stop using VetCheck and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account if it violates these terms or applicable law; where reasonable, we'll give notice. On termination, the license to use the app ends; sections 05, 06, 07, 08, and 10 survive.
10 Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes that can't be resolved by writing to support@vetcheck.app first will be heard in the courts of Istanbul, Türkiye.
If you're a consumer in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer-protection rules, those rules apply on top of these terms — nothing here removes them.
11 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. For material changes, we'll notify you in the app and by email (if you're signed in) at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using VetCheck after the changes take effect, you accept the updated terms. If you don't, please delete your account.
